JAMES EARP
James is a song writer in the classic sense, writing on piano or guitar before production, concentrating on writing an emotive lyric and melody. His studio obsession is with acoustic guitars: he’s an accomplished finger style player, owns a number of vintage models and has developed his recording technique with them over years. The same applies to vocals; he’s a perfectionist who achieves stunning results.
James co-wrote and produced ‘Bruises’ by Lewis Capaldi, the song that started Lewis’s career and has propelled itself to over 1.3B streams. He’s also had releases with Maisie Peters, Honne, Gryffin, Vance Joy, Azure Ryder, Gavin James, and Chloe Qisha amongst others.
James is based in Nashville, and works from a studio with huge band-ready live room; a very comfortable control and writing room packed full of guitars, synths and an upright piano; and a swimming pool for cooling off on those warm Nashville evenings.
